We are looking for a lab assistant. The lab assistant's primary role will be to help maintain the lab's cleanliness, organization, and generally improving the ability for others to execute precise and quality work. As the lab assistant gains experience, they will also be trained to execute processes and help the team in a technician type role. This role offers exposure to working in a biology, chemistry, microfabrication and hardware lab environment. The ideal candidate will learn the basics of many different areas.
Role responsibilities:
Science is required under California law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. We determine your level based on your interview performance and make an offer based on the indicated salary band. The base salary range for this full-time position is $24-$35 per hour equity benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of the offer is not included in these numbers.

- Organize, clean and maintain lab spaces
- Support and improve engineers as required
- Maintain and track chemical waste and inventory Eventually contribute to and execute processes independently
- Have an associates or bachelors degree
- Some exposure to chemistry, biology or physics
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong desire to learn and high level of curiosity
- High bias to being "hands-on"
