THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
LS Systems, Inc a Division of Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Service Technician to inspect, service, test, and maintain suppression systems, including, but not limited to fire extinguisher and kitchen hoods. Customer and employee interface require a high degree of effective human relations. Communication skills, both verbal and written are important elements of the position.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Inspect, service, test, and maintain fire suppression systems, including fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, etc.
- Complete basic to standard level complexity repair of fire extinguishers, systems cylinders, and DOT specified cylinders.
- Produce detailed commissioning and inspection reports in accordance with NFPA.
- Responsible for vehicle inventory.
- Ensure the facility and inventory is kept in a safe, orderly state.
- Proficient in issue resolution.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of fire protection industry and products.
- Works with customers to perform deficiency repairs.
- Identifies opportunities to perform inspections at new customer sites.
- Identifies opportunities to upgrade current equipment according to code requirements.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
