THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a qualified Purchasing Coordinator. This position will work closely with our sales, operations, and accounting departments to ensure cost effective procurement of materials, parts, equipment, supplies, and services. The ideal candidate will have great communication and organizational skills. This is a key position for our growing team, which requires attention to detail, coordination, and collaboration to ensure timely completion of projects.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Order materials, supplies, and services from vendors in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for life cycle of the inventory system, moving items in and out of stock, reconciling inventory on a weekly basis, and processing inventory movements through the ERP.
- Review purchase orders, invoices, and other forms, reconciling for completeness and accuracy.
- Work with vendors to ensure that products are delivered according to schedule and that purchasing terms and conditions are clear and as agreed upon.
- Store and maintain purchase orders, proof of purchase, proof of delivery, pricing quotes, receipts, and other documents.
- Coordinate with warehouse and oversee shipping, receiving, and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with pertinent laws, regulations, codes, policies, and standards.
- Check and process purchase requisitions; review information to ensure it is complete, accurate, and that order parameters are clear and understood.
- Secure proper signatures and ensure purchases are completed and maintained in an effective, current, and accurate manner.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Up to two years of experience in procurement or supply chain administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and collaborate with other departments, customers, vendors, etc.
- Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
