THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Sprinkler Helper to assist with the installation of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires someone who is interested in learning the fire sprinkler trade and a desire to start a career in the exciting and sustainable fire/life safety industry.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Assist Sprinkler Fitters with coordination and installation of overhead sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, and hose systems.
- Attend and participate in weekly job site safety meetings.
- Willing to travel to local job site locations.
- Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds; maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Standing and walking for the majority of the workday.
- Open to learning how to read and interpret blueprints, in order to help install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Occasionally communicate with various contractors and trades to ensure projects stay on time and on budget.
