- Develop team performance metrics, evaluate outcomes, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Train and develop team members to meet business objectives, ensuring career growth for Team Leaders and staff.
- Establish and evaluate individual performance standards for team members.
- Foster a culture aligned with the Company’s core values, focusing on quality, safety, production, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee production planning to allocate resources effectively for short- and long-term demand.
- Analyze and improve key production metrics (turnaround time, quality, throughput, etc.).
- Identify and implement operational improvements using technical expertise and consulting subject matter experts as needed.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring production teams meet evolving customer and business needs.
- Manage production readiness for after-hours work and ensure customer requirements are met outside standard hours.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and practices, addressing deficiencies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and QP6/QP1 standards.
- Maintain strict 5S standards and oversee preventive maintenance schedules.
- Handle government documentation for workplace incidents and facilitate modified duties or return-to-work programs as needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or equivalent direct experience.
- Minimum 10 years in a preservation or thermal spray field service environment.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in production, operations, or customer service.
- Strong customer focus and decision-making skills.
- Proven expertise in leading production teams and mobile crews with thermal spray equipment.
- Experience with robotic automation and machining/grinding processes.
- Competence in variance analysis and continuous improvement strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytic, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Primarily operates within production facilities in Virginia and mobile crew sites.
- Collaborates closely with teams, customers, and executive leadership.
- Requires frequent travel, including international, up to 50%.
- May involve physical activities like equipment operation and on-site coordination.
