What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spray Technician Aerospace position at Scientific Search?
Our client is an experienced leader in anodization, surface sealing, sacrificial coating, and thermal spraying for major manufacturers within the aerospace industry such as: Boeing, Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky Aircraft, Rolls Royce, and their global sub-tiers. They are seeking a thermal spray technician for their CT location.
- You will perform multiple tasks including cleaning, organizing, prepping parts, measuring, masking, blasting, tooling, coating, inspection, and packaging of products per customer requirements.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment such as but not limited to measurement devices, calipers, and blasting equipment following established safety policies and procedures related to each task.
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School.
- 2 years of spray experience in an industrial setting
- Must be reliable and have excellent attendance.
- Ability to read, or learn how to read, basic blueprints & perform basic math required.
- Ability to communicate, read, and interpret documents written in standard English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
