TRANSPORTATION MANAGER/TRAINER
Reports to:Superintendent
CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
- CDL Drivers License
- Core Trainer
- Good driving record
- Experience preferred, knowledge of bus/auto mechanics, computer/technology skills
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but not limited to:
- Supervise and evaluate bus drivers.
- Plan routes for time efficiency and student safety.
- Train new drivers and maintain current drivers certifications through classes and testing behind the wheel.
- Train teaching and coaching staff to drive mini buses as required to transport players/students to activities.
- Coordinate the repair and maintenance of all district transport vehicles.
- Keep maintenance records for all district transport vehicles.
- Follow the laws and regulations of the State of Oregon.
- Follow the policies of the District as adopted by the Board of Directors; prepare monthly reports for District and prepare yearly transportation Annual Report for ODE.
- Work with administrators, AD and staff to coordinate transportation to activities and events.
- Obtain DOT driving record history on all drivers.
- Takes all reasonable precaution to provide for the health and safety of the students and protect equipment, materials and facilities.
- Immediately report information regarding abuse of any kind to the appropriate administrator or social service agency.
- Be responsible for district keys as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Contract with the district for wages, and benefits as determined by the District Board of Directors. Obtain a criminal history background and fingerprint check. Carry current First Aid and CPR card.
