Temporary Substitute Educational Aide at Centennial Elementary School for Scio School District 95C
Min - Max hourly rate - $14.70 -$17.60 (based on experience)
Substitute Position starts ASAP through June 12, 2025
7.0 hours per day (half educational assistant and half SPED educational assistant)
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT
Reports to Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to:
- Dictates prepared materials to students.
- Oversees group practices and committee work.
- Supervises free time/recess, and other activities.
- Assist teacher with classroom activities.
- Secures and puts away instructional materials needed by the teacher.
- Records grades, scores tests and written work, which do not require subjective evaluation, but where a key is provided.
- Takes all reasonable precautions to provide for the health and safety of the students and to protect equipment, materials and facilities.
- Willing to attend classes related to assignment.
- Immediately report any information regarding abuse of any kind to the appropriate administrator or social service agency.

- Be responsible for district keys as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL EDUCATION ASSISTANT
Report to Special Education Director/Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work with Special Needs Students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to:
- Work with students with disabilities, in the classroom or resource room.
- Have good communication skills. Be able to interpret teachers' information into appropriate context for students' understanding.
- Willing to attend classes related to assignment
- Supervise free time/recess as directed.
- Takes all reasonable precautions to provide for the health and safety of the students and to protect equipment, materials and facilities.
- Immediately report information regarding abuse of any kind to the appropriate administrator or social service agency.
- Be responsible for district keys as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Work day, wages and benefits as per OSEA contract. Obtain a criminal history background and fingerprint check. Obtain a First Aid and CPR card.
Salary : $15 - $18
