Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including major gifts, annual giving, capital campaigns, and online fundraising efforts.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Lead and coordinate special fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community-based initiatives.
- Partner with the Executive Director to set and achieve fundraising goals.
- Identify grant opportunities and assist in writing proposals to secure funding.
- Track and manage grant compliance, reporting, and renewal opportunities.
- Oversee donor stewardship activities, ensuring ongoing engagement and long-term support.
- Manage direct mail and email campaigns, including newsletters, appeals, and donor communications.
- Ensure accurate donor records, reporting, and data analysis using donor management software.
- Develop sponsorships, in-kind donations, and corporate volunteer opportunities.
- Represent the organization at networking events and media engagements to raise awareness and attract supporters.
- Collaborate on budget planning and fundraising financial management.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical fundraising regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field OR 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
- Proven track record of securing funding through major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, and campaigns.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing donor databases (e.g., DonorPerfect or similar).
- Passion for animal welfare and the organization’s mission.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
