Scion Nonprofit Staffing(www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Director of Workforce Development to join our partner, a respected education nonprofit in Greenwich, CT! This full-time, direct-hire, onsite position offers competitive pay and the chance to bring expertise in workforce development to youth education programs!
The ideal candidate will bring strongexperience in workforce development, with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and evaluating programs focused on employment coaching and job placement. They will possess a deep understanding of the needs of both young adults facing workforce disconnection and employers across key sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and skilled trades. The successful candidate will excel in cultivating strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, demonstrate creativity and emotional intelligence, and be adept at navigating the demands of a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

- Lead the design and execution of workforce development pilot partnerships, including identifying and engaging potential partner organizations and fostering co-investments with public and private funders.
- Serve as the primary liaison for partner organizations, ensuring strong, trusting relationships and facilitating capacity-building efforts, including program design and workshops.
- Oversee the implementation of workforce initiatives, providing consultation on program design, staff training, and performance management to enhance partner capacity and effectiveness.
- Monitor pilot outcomes, evaluating effectiveness and making data-driven recommendations to improve program performance, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.
- Substantial experience in workforce development, including program design, implementation, and evaluation, with expertise in job placement and coaching in a nonprofit or philanthropic context.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in adapting to dynamic environments and managing multiple projects with a focus on quality and detail.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal), and proficiency in common software tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
