Scion Staffing is currently seeking a Foundation Director for an impactful nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting the Jewish community! This role is full-time, direct-hire and hybrid- 2-3 days per week in the Downtown Seattle office and 2-3 days remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning & Performance Tracking : Lead the development and execution of both short-term and long-term strategies for the Foundation. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and oversee tracking systems to ensure progress toward goals.

Collaboration with Development Team : Work closely with the Director of Development to align Foundation and legacy fundraising efforts with the annual campaign, enhancing overall fundraising impact.

Donor Relationship Management : Design and implement a donor-focused approach for the acquisition and stewardship of Foundation partners and prospects, aimed at increasing the Foundationâ?™s assets under management.

Team Leadership & Development : Supervise and mentor Foundation staff, overseeing recruitment, training, performance coaching, and conducting annual performance reviews.

Policy Development & Compliance : Create, recommend, and enforce policies and procedures to support the Foundationâ?™s operations. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and monitor adherence to approved policies.

Grant Distribution Oversight : Manage the Foundationâ?™s grant-making process, ensuring fiscal approval and compliance with both internal and external regulations.

Legal & Financial Oversight : Identify potential legal and accounting issues and seek professional counsel when necessary to ensure proper handling of Foundation matters.

Reporting & Accountability : Oversee the preparation of reports for donors, fund holders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial and operational matters.

Internal Controls & Audit Support : Collaborate with the Finance Team to develop and implement internal controls for Foundation activities. Support annual audits and ensure all relevant documentation is in order.

Vendor & Partner Management : Manage relationships with external vendors, including the investment management firm and third-party administrative software providers, to ensure smooth operations.

Community & Professional Engagement : Cultivate and strengthen relationships with professional advisors, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advance the Foundationâ?™s mission and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelorâ?™s Degree, or equivalent experience
  • 8 years related experience, previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in some combination of : fundraising, donor relations, planned giving, Foundation management, and impact investing
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a leader and as part of a team
  • Proven strategic thinker who can implement strategies to accomplish organizational goals
  • Working knowledge of planned giving techniques, estate planning, and fundraising
  • A legal, tax, or financial background would be beneficial

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

In addition to being part of an organization with a fantastic mission and positive, team-oriented culture, the annual salary for this role ranges from $110,000-125,000yr, depending on experience plus a benefits package including 401k matching, PTO, paid time off for national holidays and Jewish holidays, medical / dental / vision insurance, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and more!
