Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Head of Membership for a globally recognized nonprofit professional association dedicated to advancing commercial and contract management practices. This remote-based role offers an exciting opportunity to lead membership initiatives and drive operational efficiencies for an organization with a global reach across 180 countries. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Membership will oversee a team and work closely with regional teams to support and manage corporate membership accounts worldwide.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, process-driven professional with exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills. This individual will be instrumental in developing strategies to enhance member engagement, improve retention, and grow the association's global membership base. This is a full-time, permanent position that may require some travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Membership Strategy and Growth

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies to increase individual membership and improve member retention.
  • Create and execute operational plans to achieve annual membership targets, including attracting new members and converting guests to paid memberships.
  • Work with business development teams to support and grow the corporate membership portfolio.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the Member Services team and Community Manager, ensuring 24 / 7 global coverage and exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of four, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Member Experience and Engagement

  • Own the member user experience, optimizing user journeys through the website and ensuring a seamless experience for members and learners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver a member communications strategy that drives active engagement across all membership levels.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance member satisfaction and create a best-in-class member experience.
  • Data Analysis and Operational Efficiency

  • Partner with the Business Intelligence Manager to analyze member data and trends, identifying areas of opportunity and implementing data-driven actions.
  • Streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies across the organization.
  • Support the transition to a new CRM platform, website, and member portal, ensuring strong adoption and becoming the CRM platform business owner.
  • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with regional teams, business development units, and internal stakeholders to support corporate membership accounts and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, partners, and internal teams, to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in membership management, preferably in a global organization or professional association.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and driving membership growth initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools, such as Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
  • High level of IT literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Experience managing global teams and understanding the complexities of operating in different regions and cultures.
  • Proven success in implementing customer experience initiatives in a membership-based organization.
  • COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000â??$100,000, dependent on experience. The role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization with a global impact.
