As the HR Generalist, you will oversee the full scope of the HR Department by using your organizational skills and collaborative attitude.
Responsibilities
- Support the HR Department with administrative functions including, but not limited to: onboarding, benefits administration, and human resources development.
- Manage and track all employee benefits including health insurance, 403b, vacation and sick time administration.
- Assist with the recruitment process by sourcing candidates for openings as well as conducting background checks on new employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as they pertain to employment laws and HR policies.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic or physical format as needed.
- Supervise direct report, Foundations Secretary.
- Oversee office operations, including supplies, equipment, and in coordination with landlord, facilities management. Ensure an efficient and clean office environment.
- Plan and prepare event space for a variety of events, including arranging for food delivery and decoration.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required in both human resources and office management
- Well versed in all areas of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development and HR compliance
- Emotional intelligence to handle day-to-day interactions and to handle difficult issues
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- SHRM membership or certification a plus
