Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Temporary Program Officer (Nonprofit) for an incredible nonprofit foundation focused on uplifting and supporting the Jewish Community. This is a full-time, temporary opportunity based out of Los Angeles, CA that offers a hybrid schedule allowing for flexibility.

In this role, the Program Officer (Nonprofit) will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of the foundation's grantmaking processes and donor communications, while also administering the grant programs that fall underneath the organizationâ?™s scope.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage all administrative aspects of the grant lifecycle for multiple grant programs.
  • Interface with non-profit organizations throughout the application process.
  • Conduct research on organizations applying for grants.
  • Provide information and technical assistance to applicants / grantees.
  • Review and evaluate grant applications and reports.
  • Conduct due diligence, including monitoring applicant and grantee financial information.
  • Develop and implement grant applications and reporting documents.
  • Assist with community needs assessments, research, and development of grant programs.
  • Respond to donor requests for information and funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with staff on the development of educational programs.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Demonstrated professional nonprofit experience in grantmaking with a preference for work at a foundation.
  • Confidence in synthesizing large amounts of information to develop and execute strategies.
  • Prior experience working with donors and families is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 as well as grantmaking database systems such as Raiserâ?™s Edge, GrantedGE, and / or SmartSimple.
  • Advanced written and verbal communications skills.
  • Desire to work on a mission-driven team and collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse workload tracking the success of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelorâ?™s degree in a related field, Masterâ?™s Degree is a plus.
  • COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :

    This career opportunity provides a starting hourly pay of $45.00 to $48.00 DOE with the ability for further career growth over time, plus medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week.
