Scion Nonprofit, an award-winning full-service staffing firm, has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Senior Vice President (SVP) of School Age Services, Municipals on behalf of our client, a mission-driven association supporting community engagement. This full-time on-site role is based in soulful Memphis, TN, and is available immediately.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Association Leadership Team, the Senior Vice President of School Age Services will play a vital role in shaping organizational strategy and ensuring alignment with our clients mission and goals. This position oversees program management, budgeting, staff development, family and community engagement, and the strategic growth of school-age services. This leader will drive enrollment, retain participants, foster a positive staff culture, ensure compliance with childcare licensing standards, and build strong relationships with community and district partners.

In addition to a salary of $140,000 to $150,000 (DOE), this opportunity offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, optical, and life insurance, a 12% employer-funded, fully vested retirement plan after two years, and a 403(b) savings plan. A complete relocation package is offered if you are moving from over 60 miles away.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management and Growth Strategy:
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, adjusting to maintain high service quality and participant satisfaction.
- Design and implement strategies to drive enrollment, retain participants, and promote program growth to meet organizational goals.
- Oversee operations of school-age childcare sites across municipal and outward school districts, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and our clients standards.
- Develop and implement policies and programs that enhance service quality and operational excellence and support strategic growth.
- Lead strategic planning and execution for all school-age services, ensuring alignment with our clients mission, vision, and organizational goals.
- Serve as a member of the Association Leadership Team, contributing to organizational strategy and decision-making to advance our clients mission.
- Implement and monitor risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for children, staff, and families.
- Ensure all sites meet or exceed childcare licensing standards, our clients policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and evaluations to ensure high team performance, accountability, and community.
- Develop team-building activities and initiatives that promote a vibrant, positive culture, encouraging staff enthusiasm and motivation.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of full and part-time staff, fostering a positive, fun, and engaging work environment that supports professional growth, team cohesion, and retention.
- Collaborate with finance teams to forecast needs, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for school-age services, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to approved budgets.
- Act as a primary representative of our client to external stakeholders, advocating for the organizations school-age services and expanding partnerships.
- Organize family-centered events, workshops, and communications to keep families informed, engaged, and connected to their childrens experiences.
- Develop and implement family engagement strategies to encourage active family involvement and foster supportive connections between families and our client.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with school districts, municipal leaders, and community partners to promote our clients programs and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, public administration, or a related field (masters degree preferred).
- 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in childcare management, program management, or a related field.
- Experience in managing school-age programs is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial management, and program evaluation.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee multiple sites and manage large teams.
- In-depth knowledge of childcare licensing standards, risk management practices, and enrollment growth strategies.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with school districts, community organizations, and families.
