Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Technical Accountant for a leading innovator in 5G wireless connectivity solutions. This exciting full-time opportunity is onsite at the clients modern headquarters located in San Diego, CA.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Technical Accountant to join a fast-paced, collaborative finance team. This critical role will be responsible for supporting financial audits, preparing technical accounting documentation, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in equity and lease accounting and thrive in a dynamic and innovative work environment.

This is a full-time, onsite position offering an annual base salary of $104,000 $119,000 DOE, plus a target annual bonus. - Prepare journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, and assist with month-end close
- Conduct inventory reviews and support reserve calculations for aged and obsolete items
- Prepare lease accounting schedules and assist with equity plan administration
- Contribute to financial audits by preparing reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Draft technical accounting memos and SEC reporting footnotes in collaboration with finance leadership
- Support continuous process improvements and cross-functional collaboration
- Active CPA license
- Solid understanding of GAAP and experience with SEC reporting
- Proficiency in month-end close activities including lease and equity accounting
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and Excel preferred
