Key Responsibilities
- Oversee hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and mandated regulations.
- Provide professional guidance for nursing personnel, managing disciplinary issues, preparing administrative reports, reviewing staffing and budgetary needs, and integrating Nursing Services functions with other hospital departments.
- Participate in program development and training for nurse-recruitment activities and assist with continuing education programs.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
- Develop nursing protocol and procedures.
- Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Assess patient needs; participate in providing nursing care; ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
- Maintain patient health care records.
- Maintain supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment, as necessary.
