Position Summary:
Provide professional nursing care to the patients admitted in the Obstetric, Gynecology and Nursery Units. Assist physicians in various procedures related to delivery, postpartum, cesarean sections, circumcisions, and newborn care.
Primary (Essential) Duties:
Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes, (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with others; and (c) respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor.

Position Summary:
Provide professional nursing care to the patients admitted in the Obstetric, Gynecology and Nursery Units. Assist physicians in various procedures related to delivery, postpartum, cesarean sections, circumcisions, and newborn care.
Primary (Essential) Duties:
- Assesses, plans and evaluates patient care needs.
- Assists physician during examination, treatment and procedures and carries out physician orders.
- Administers prescribed medications and monitors vital signs.
- Maintains skills in various medical devices including electronic fetal monitors, hearing screen machines, radiant warmers, epidural pumps, transport isolettes, neopuffs, and birthing beds.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications
- Required: Must have current and valid Wyoming RN License or equivalent compact
- Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Current ACLS Certification
- NRP within 6 months of hire or transfer date
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal monitoring within 9 months of hire or transfer to department
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal monitoring provides a course completion rather than certification and it is the expectation that all WHU RN's participate in a course every 2 - 3 years from initial successful course completion
- STABLE current or within 18 months of hire or transfer to department
