Objective: To place items required for workstations according to par sheets or instructions from Sous Chef. Prepare products assigned to workstation during service.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Prepares meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.
- Carefully follows standard recipes when preparing all items.
- Assists with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
- Cleans workstation and food preparation utensils.
- Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices including those related to personal hygiene.
- Completes other appropriate tasks assigned by the Sous Chef.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:
- Prepares menu items as needed for member or guest service.
- Follows all state and local health and food safety regulations.
- Follows all safety procedures for operating and cleaning machinery.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
Physical Requirements, Working Conditions and Other factors:
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend,
stretch and twist or reach. - Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- A minimum three months related experience or training.
- Food safety certification preferred
- Must have basic culinary fundamental knowledge and be familiar with all kitchen equipment and machinery.
