What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Use Disorder Counselor position at Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide outpatient counseling and substance use treatment services, including services to dually disordered clients and substance-involved adolescents. Diagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals, under supervision. Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plan in compliance with the Center's Substance Use and Mental Health Program Standards. Provides risk reduction services in an effort to prevent or divert future use and/or abuse of substances leading to addiction.
Minimum Requirements: LSW or LPC with appropriate scope of practice and three years of experience; LICDC and/or Prevention Certification preferred. Maintains licensure/certification and posts areas of competence and services. Must have valid Ohio driver’s license
