Operations Lead

SciTec is looking for an Operations Lead to drive success in a portfolio of programs executed from Buckley SFB. This role is critical in ensuring technical performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface with customers and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and satisfaction regarding project execution and deliverables.
• Oversee the technical management and integration of complex systems in support of program objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across all phases of program execution.
• Develop and maintain program schedules and resource plans, ensuring adherence to program timelines.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence and innovation amongst team members, guiding mentoring efforts to ensure skill development.
• Participate in program reviews, providing technical and managerial insights on progress, challenges, and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage risks and issues proactively, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts on program performance.

Requirements

• Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• 10 years of experience in systems engineering or program management, with a focus on Department of Defense (DoD) projects.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role within a technical environment.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and best practices, particularly in Agile development.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  
  

Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:

• Familiarity with Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) systems and their applications.
• Experience in business development or capture management within the defense sector.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering tools and practices.

The pay range for this position is $148,000 - $177,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
