We collaborate with customers throughout the Department of Defense and U.S. Government to develop pioneering tools that provide unique, world-class data exploitation capabilities.

We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to join our team, focusing on the integration of advanced missile warning software systems. This role offers a distinct chance to contribute to essential national defense projects. You will be involved in the end-to-end integration processes for Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor systems designed for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. SciTec seeks a motivated engineer who thrives in addressing complex integration challenges in support of critical national security objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute system integration tasks across software and hardware components.
  • Develop integration plans and test strategies to ensure system functionality and interoperability.
  • Coordinate closely with systems engineers, software developers, and test teams to manage integration activities efficiently.
  • Conduct integration and testing of complex systems, ensuring compliance with system requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members involved in system integration efforts.
  • Document integration processes and results, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A current TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmental Information.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering or systems integration.
  • Proven experience in integrating complex software systems with hardware components.
  • Strong understanding of system integration principles, testing methodologies, and software development processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Candidates with one or more of the following skills will be preferred:

  • Experience with government hosted ground system framework.
  • Experience with missile warning systems or other defense-related applications.
  • Proficiency with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams.
  • Graduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related fields.

The pay range for this position is $131,000 - $185,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
