We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with an active security clearance to work directly at our customer's site. This role requires a self-sufficient professional with proven platform engineering experience who can integrate and deploy software applications in a secure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the platform engineering specialist within an integration team at our customer's site
- Lead integration and deployment of applications into containerized environments
- Design and implement deployment strategies across development, test, and operational systems
- Create, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate development tools for artifact management, testing, and code analysis
- Lead troubleshooting of deployed applications
- Interface directly with customer stakeholders
- Work independently while collaborating with the broader integration team
- Provide technical guidance to other team members
- Other duties as assigned
- Current active DoD security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 8 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or similar role
- 3 years of experience with Linux systems
- 2 years of experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- 2 years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with artifact management and version control systems
- Ability to work 100% on-site at customer location
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with GitLab-CI or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience creating and maintaining Helm charts
- Experience with artifact management tools like Artifactory
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience integrating systems in government or secure environments
- Experience mentoring technical team members
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles

- The pay range for this position is $137,000- $194,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
