SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented senior engineer to support our programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This is a unique opportunity to join a small business delivering core capabilities for National defense. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. Candidates will develop, implement, and run engineering processes in support of a large Agile software development program. Candidates will provide engineering leadership to development teams including subcontractors and will be responsible for ensuring team work products meet program requirements. SciTec seeks a candidate who will thrive in a collaborative environment where they can solve challenging engineering problems in support of critical national security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Designing architectures for remote sensor data processing IT systems.
- Developing and implementing systems engineering processes.
- Providing engineering leadership and defining the engineering baseline for development teams.
- Ensuring development team work products are aligned with the engineering baseline.
- Coordinating between customer representatives, program managers, engineering leadership, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team. Effective verbal and written communication skills are key for this role.
- Mentoring other SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies.
- Managing systems engineering staff and contractors in coordination with the SciTec program management team.
- Other duties as assigned

The pay range for this position is $160,000 - $208,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education / training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
