What are the responsibilities and job description for the ESY Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)-SUM25 position at Scituate Public School District?
REPORTS TO: ESY Coordinator
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The BCBA will provide behavioral consultation to staff regarding students with autism and/or behavioral challenges to assist these students improve their academic, communication, behavior, social, and emotional regulation skills. The Behavioral Analyst will model and facilitate the provision of Applied Behavioral Analysis services (ABA), and complete and/or facilitate the implementation of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP). All services must be provided in person.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct observations of students with autism, and/or behavioral issues.
- Create Behavioral Intervention Plans.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on behaviors, ABA and discrete trial training.
- Assist staff in collecting data and providing specialized interventions.
- Maintain documentation of observations and interventions; provide input to progress reports.
- Follow IDEA regulations to ensure that parent/student rights are upheld, including students’ rights to the least restrictive environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers and with the Director of Special Services, Principals and other administrators; keep administrators well informed about student cases.
- Perform such other tasks as the supervisor requests.
QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:
- A Master’s Degree or higher, from an accredited college or university.
- Massachusetts licensure as a BCBA.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, nonverbal, written).
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:
- Two years of experience with children with autism
TERMS: Part-time, Summer 2025, Pay is $51.02 per hour or based on individual vendor contract (non-employee).
