Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Logistics Operations and Optimization Consultant with a strong background in warehouse operations and training. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with EWM who is eager to grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be ready to travel frequently and use their expertise in SAP EWM and warehouse processes to help support our customers’ operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation & Process Mapping: Create clear and concise documentation to outline system processes and workflows, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Test Script Development: Develop and manage test scripts, providing support during both the creation and execution phases, ensuring they are user-friendly, particularly in warehouse settings.
- End-User Training: Deliver effective training sessions to facilitate the smooth adoption of new tools and processes, enhancing user understanding and performance.
- Warehouse Operations Expertise: Apply your knowledge of warehouse production to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure SAP EWM solutions align with business objectives and enhance performance.
- SAP Integration: Understand and manage IDocs and queues to facilitate seamless system integration.
- SAP EWM Life Cycle Experience: Leverage experience in at least two full SAP EWM life cycles to implement solutions that meet business needs.
- Data Analysis: Use advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables) to efficiently analyze and manage data.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and recommend optimization solutions to drive operational efficiency in warehouse environments.
- System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for warehouse operations and SAP EWM processes to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal stakeholders and customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored SAP EWM solutions.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations and SAP EWM performance to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
- Strong background in warehouse operations and training, with practical knowledge of material handling and distribution processes.
- Solid understanding of Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), and master data management.
- Proven ability to develop and execute test scripts for SAP systems, including functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for end-users.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
- Ability to think critically and strategically to solve problems and optimize warehouse processes.
- Proficiency in SAP EWM modules (such as Warehouse Management, Radio Frequency (RF) devices, and Inventory Management) is a plus.
- Experience with SAP Fiori and/or SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Project management experience is a plus, including familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
