CORPORATE SUMMARY

Salt Creek Midstream (SCM) is a greenfield midstream company built to provide a full suite of midstream services and downstream solutions to producers in the Delaware Basin. SCM leverages fundamental and intra-basin knowledge to optimize the value of producer resources, reduce bottlenecks and deliver higher netbacks to the producer.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Crude I&E Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment running smoothly, performing tests and calibrations, repairing or replacing components, and troubleshooting equipment operational problems. Reports to the Crude Operations Manager. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installs, configures, tests, calibrates, operates, troubleshoots, maintains, and inspects electrical instrumentation as well as control system equipment.
  • Monitors pressure, flow, temperature controls, process limited controllers, and gas analysis equipment.
  • Uses and understands the principles of operation of all meters and instruments used in applicable I&E work.
  • Works with drawings, sketches, specs, as-builts, and makes new for proposed installations and completed projects.
  • Performs and documents preventive maintenance inspections on electrical and control equipment in gas processing and compressor station facilities.
  • Performs calibration, troubleshoots, and maintenance of sophisticated compliance analyzers and has the capacity to make programming changes as well as additions
  • Interprets schematics to troubleshoot problems and performs database maintenance administration.
  • Installs and adjusts measuring and control devices, signal transmitters, meters, and signal pickups.
  • Practices awareness concerning health, safety, and the environment; cooperates with emergency teams to anticipate and deal with any hazardous and / or unusual situations (oil spills, line leaks, inclement weather, etc.)
  • Utilizes Work Order database for maintenance activity.
  • Reviews, approves, and fills equipment requisitions.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and registrations required : Valid Driver’s License.
  • Other skills required :
  • o Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities.

    o Basic understanding of electrical concepts, test equipment, flow schematics, and electrical and piping / instrumentation drawings.

    o Commitment to excellence and high standards.

    o Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    o Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

    o Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

    o Acute attention to detail.

    o Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions.

    o Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry moderately heavy equipment up to 50 pounds, working, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing, and walking distances in all types of terrain.
  • May work outdoors in an open environment with extremes of heat and cold.
  • Be able to accommodate travel, overtime, and participate in “on-call” rotation as required.
