Property Management Accountant
Cleveland/Cleveland Metro Area
As BTR Haus continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Property Management Accountant. The portfolio currently consists of 1,377 units, with 278 currently managed by BTR Haus and an additional 1,099 under 3rd party management. Additionally, BTR Haus Partners are currently developing 289 units of new built-to-rent products, set to be delivered in 2025. The partnership has a goal of adding 400-600 new units of product to the portfolio annually. This position will be a vital part of our team as we scale the portfolio.

- Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 9AM – 5 PM
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or similar
- Experience with Yardi Voyager required
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
- Familiarity with accounting software (Yardi a plus)
- Competence in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, Word
- Organizational and time management skills
Job Responsibilities
- Track and reconcile bank statements
- Prepare, track, and reconcile ledgers and budgets
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals
- Perform accounting reconciliations and account analysis
- Identify and correct miscalculations and financial discrepancies
- Prepare month-end and year-end closing schedules.
- Prepare monthly financial statement packages for investors/owners.
- Assist in the preparation of audit workpapers for year-end audits with outside auditors
- Research and answer questions from property operations, lenders, regulators, or investors
- Provide administrative support during budget preparation
- Stay current with all regulations, requirements, and laws
