Job Details
- Administer the service desk with a focus on quality customer service to enable a positive end-user experience.
- Troubleshoot IT hardware and systems and support all other IT-related activities.
- Provision, deploy, and oversee inventory of IT-issued devices and equipment (e.g., PCs, mobile phones, tablets, etc.) in accordance with company policies and best practices.
- Provide first level support of virtual servers and systems (e.g., VMWare, Nutanix, etc.).
- Coordinate with vendors on related projects or activities.
- Oversee the printing environment including maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Support patching and upgrading IT components such as network switches and servers.
- Administer Active Directory, Azure Cloud, and Office 365 environment, among others.
- Administer and monitor IT security platforms (e.g., anti-malware, spam filters, etc.).
- Create and deliver technical training to users as needed.
- Create, organize, and update documentation of IT process, policies, and systems.
- Assist with research and evaluation of new technology and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities to enhance IT system effectiveness and customer support.
- Support business continuity/disaster recovery plans proactively and in the event of outages.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training or certification.
- 3 years’ experience supporting IT systems and networks.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and mobile device management platforms.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
- Excellent customer service skills with staff of all levels.
- Comfortable working in both a cross-functional/matrixed team environment and independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, utilize time efficiently, and multi-task in an ever changing, fast-paced environment.
- Displays professionalism and sound judgement in all situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Comptia A , Network , or similar Microsoft / Cisco certifications.
- Experience with common virtualization platforms (VMWare, HyperV, Nutanix).
- Experience with Microsoft 366 and Microsoft Azure.
