The Stability Coordinator assists the Stability Program Manager in the execution of the company stability program, ensuring compliance with dietary supplement regulations and customer requirements. As a member of the Research & Development (R&D) team under the supervision of the Stability Program Manager, this position works closely with Innovation Scientists, Product Managers, Operations and Quality teams, internal and external laboratories, and with contract customers’ technical teams to develop, execute, and monitor stability protocols, and generate reports. This position ensures all stability related equipment is in good working order, coordinates with internal and external labs for stability related Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Trend (OOT) investigations, and drives corrective actions to ensure compliance.
Estimated starting annual base salary is $72,509.40 - $108,764.10 per year less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Work with internal and external product development teams to develop stability programs for new products, including generating protocols and reports, coordinating and managing samples, organizing organoleptic evaluation, reporting data, providing study quotes, and managing invoices.
- Execute routine stability programs for contract customers and SCN, including issuing stability protocols and reports, coordinating and managing samples, organizing organoleptic evaluation, reporting data, providing study quotes, and managing invoices.
- Maintain stability chambers including weekly monitoring, and quarterly and yearly preventive maintenance.
- Work with Innovation Scientists to develop and execute developmental stability protocols.
- Coordinate stability related investigations (OOS, OOT, etc.) with R&D, Quality, testing labs, and customers’ technical teams. Provide regular reports and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Assist the Stability Program Manager in preparing and presenting stability program related information to auditors.
- Support R&D continuous process improvement activities.
Required Qualifications |
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, technology, engineering, or related field.
- 2 years’ work experience in the food or dietary supplement industry.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
- Computer proficiency including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint).
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously with strengths in organization, teamwork, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to create and present data in chart format.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with internal staff and management. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Must be able to demonstrate practical problem-solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
