We are partnering with our client that manufactures lift trucks in order to help them find a direct hire Embedded Software Engineer to join their team.
Position Highlight :
Full Time Direct Hire onsite role in Portland, OR
Title : Embedded Software Engineer
Background Requirements :
MUST be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder to apply
Four years firmware development experience in C programming language
Experience in electrical, embedded control systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with RTOS
Familiarity with C development in Linux environment
CAN bus systems (SAE-J1939 or CANOpen) experience
Ability to read schematics and use oscilloscopes / DMMs
Interest in industrial equipment (materials handling, automotive, agricultural, construction, or similar)
Additional Qualifications :
Innovative thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Quality : Follow established procedures and be attentive to details to ensure accuracy in design and documentation.
Decision Making : Exhibit good judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; demonstrate ability to take decisive actions to develop product.
Systematic Problem solving : Demonstrate ability to apply basic principles and methods to resolve product issues.
Leadership and Teamwork : Function well in a team environment by working well with other employees and other departments.
Occasional travel may be required (less than 10% total time)
Position Responsibilities :
Develop embedded control software in C / C
Simulate, verify, and test developed software to ensure it meets technology requirements
Develop system and component level requirements from truck level requirements
Participate in and / or lead code and design reviews
Ability to mentor and lead entry level engineers
