The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing new manufacturing process technology innovations to improve efficiency and productivity.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and implement new manufacturing process technology innovations to secure machine KPI improvement for reduced cost, introduce new manufacturing process capability, and ensure sufficient process control.
- Implement manufacturing processes, including maintenance of standard recipes (PFMEA, Process, Equipment, and Tooling standards) for your technology area.
- Develop manufacturing process KPI's and investments for all new model quotation activities at all AANA sites for review with the Technology Leader.
- Upon business award, product designs will be reviewed to confirm manufacturing feasibility, recommend alternative design solutions to address feasibility or commercial risks, and support the development of process flow/equipment/tooling/check fixture designs with each manufacturing site engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial manufacturing engineering and experience with process control systems.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as an engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with PLC and robot programming.
- Proficiency in MS Office Products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Theoretical & practical understanding of automotive glazing manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in project management principles (financial, quality, timing).
- A detailed understanding of GD&T & tolerance stack-up principles.
- 20-50% travel primarily within the North American region.
