Background Requirements
Required Capabilities
• Exposure or experience with part design and assembly modeling techniques using 3D CAD software
• Ability to work in a hands-on environment assembling and repairing equipment
• Basic proficiency with PCs in a Windows environment including Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Additional Requirements
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint, CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Finite Element Analysis, etc.
• Experience building process flow diagrams and process & instrumentation diagrams, as well as building mass-energy balances for processing plants. Working knowledge and experience with process simulation software is a plus
• Strong and independent problem-solving skills. Experience with diagnosing issues using failure analysis techniques and recommending solutions
Education Requirements
• Minimum education requirement, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 - 5 years of industry experience.
Job Responsibilities
• Design mechanical systems and assemblies from concept to production using 3D CAD software.
• Assist in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
• Preform simple and routine engineering design tasks,
• Assist more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports.
• Perform design and production trials
• Participate in design review presentations
• Contribute to R&D efforts to facilitate ongoing product development.
• Thoroughly document your work in accordance with company policy
• Effectively communicate the status and results of projects to managers and executives regularly through verbal and written communication. Communication with customers and/or suppliers and may be required.
