Position Overview:
As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, reducing waste, and streamlining operations to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs. This is a hands-on position where you will work directly on the plant floor to optimize manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive cost-saving initiatives within the production facility.
- Implement process improvements aimed at reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
- Analyze production workflows and recommend changes to improve output and reduce downtime.
- Work closely with production teams to implement changes and monitor progress.
- Evaluate existing processes and suggest tools or equipment that can enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement efforts and meet operational goals.
- Document and track performance metrics to gauge effectiveness of implemented improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and cost reduction.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a rural, small-town setting and enjoy a slower-paced lifestyle near farms and nature.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to work in a smaller company with a close-knit team.
- Comfortable working directly on the plant floor to identify and resolve issues.
