RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the general supervision of the Residential Director, the AOD will ensure optimal staffing is maintained in all campus residences.
- The AOD monitors and supports the implementation of program activities and agency procedures in all campus residences.
- The AOD acts as the campus liaison for all incidents, emergencies and crisis situations providing support, guidance and oversight to students and staff.
- The AOD assumes an initial role with all incident management activities.
- The AOD helps oversee the quality of safety that meets the standards required by SCO.
- The AOD assists in monitoring the day-to-day operations of the program.
- Conducts regular walk-throughs of all units on campus and is readily available to assist and respond in cases of emergency or crisis.
- Checks locks on doors and gates periodically throughout their shift.
- Checks the perimeter of the campus to ensure safety standards.
- Ensures good housekeeping practices, clean grounds, and a safe environment for residents.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of Child Care staff
- Follows regulatory compliance with relevant agency, state and funding source standards
- Completes all necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner
- Models and promotes dependable, responsible, accountable and ethical staff behavior, positive norms and teamwork primacy
- Confronts and effectively discourages negative behavior and attitude (staff and residents) Immediately reports errors, situations and other issues to the Residential Director and/or Program Director.
- Responsible for immediately reporting incidents and other general issues to the Residential Director, Program Director or Vice President
