What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Baker position at Scofield Catering & Management Inc?
Job Purpose:
Assists Baker on all Bakery, Pastry, and Viennoiserie Production.
Duties:
· Fulfills daily bakery, pastry, and viennoiserie orders.
· Viennoiserie lamination, bread mixing and shaping, feeding levains or other preferements.
· Maintains cleanliness and sanitization standards of bakery production area and equipment.
· Adheres to dress code.
· Must be friendly and interactive with staff.
· Multitasks while adhering to a strict production schedule.
· Must have basic understanding of mixing, shaping, scoring, baking, and conversion from the US to Metric system.
· Updates mixing and production logs throughout the shift to ensure consistency of baked goods
Skills/Qualifications:
Basic Dough Handling; Calculating Water Temperature; Bread Shaping; Basic Understanding of lamination; Bakery Production Equipment Uses; Understanding of Mixing, Fermentation, Dividing, Shaping, and Baking Process. Basic Math. Requires briefly lifting items up to 50lbs.
