Baker at Scones & Doilies
We are looking to hire baker(s) for our family owned bakery in Downtown Lafayette! Our bakers will handcraft Scones & Doilies pastries and ensure the highest level of baking standards! Bakers will have a working knowledge of all Scones & Doilies products and will help keep a clean and organized bakery.
Primary responsibilities and requirements:
- Measure ingredients, prepare doughs, bake pastries according to recipe
- Ability to work pastry dough by hand!
- Ensure each batch is baked to high quality standards
- Maintain the highest food service standards at all times
- Cleaning and organizing of the space, cleaning tasks include doing dishes and mopping floors
- Moderate lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required
Our ideal candidate:
- Baking experience required
- Must be available to work every Saturday
- Passion for baked goods and a working knowledge of our products and customer service
- Highly dependable with a strong work ethic
- Positive attitude!
- Desire and ability to work a flexible schedule based on sales and business needs
