Position Summary :
Major Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels for both raw ingredients and finished goods, balancing demand forecasting with cost control to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Lead regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accurate inventory data and identify discrepancies, taking corrective action as needed.
- Analyze inventory trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement, including excess and obsolete slow-moving items, and potential cost savings opportunities.
- Maintain inventory management systems, ensuring accurate data entry and proper system usage across the warehouse.
- Work closely with purchasing, sales, operations, and shipping and receiving teams to align inventory levels with business needs and sales forecasts.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures related to inventory management.
- Ensure adherence to company inventory policies and procedures, including regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve inventory control processes, finding opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on inventory performance, including key metrics and recommendations for improvement
- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate inventory valuation and assist in financial reporting related to inventory
- Oversee the disposal or liquidation of obsolete or excess inventory in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications :
The pay for this role in the state of CA ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 based on years of experience, position responsibilities and geographic location.
