What you’ll do:
- Work closely with students, either 1:1 or across entire classrooms
- Assist various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
- Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Support resource teacher(s) in delivering IEP's (individual education plans)
- Follow direction from, and assist lead educators
- Follow and implement behavioral plan
You’ll need:
- At least 1 yr experience working with children/adults with special needs; OR
- At least 1 yr year in a classroom /education setting
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, 48 college credits, or a copy of your CBEST test results
- Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor
- Background Check (we'll cover the cost of this!)
- TB risk assessment within 60 days
- You’ll stand out if you have any SpEd-specific training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience
- You’ll stand out if you have been trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
