Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
Provide strong leadership to the supply chain team, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Develop, implement, and optimize supply chain strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.
Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance supply chain operations.
Vendor and Supplier Management
Lead and coach the team to maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure ongoing sourcing of vendors that meet quality, delivery, and pricing standards.
Build and maintain a pipeline of sustainable products, materials, and partnerships that enhance brand equity and competitive advantage.
Sustainability and Innovation
Champion sustainability strategies related to products and materials, meeting the evolving needs of customers and stakeholders.
Communicate sustainability initiatives to senior leaders and integrate them into key business planning and innovation processes.
Crisis Management and Business Continuity
Develop and support crisis management and business continuity plans, ensuring readiness for potential disruptions.
Performance and Compliance
Set performance targets for the supply chain team and monitor their progress.
Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Analyze supply chain data to identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
Develop and enforce safety guidelines across the supply chain.
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with other departments to create coordinated plans that support business growth.
Evaluate and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the VP of Operations.
Collaborates with internal teams including Engineering, Design, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Estimating, Sales, Plant Operations, and Senior Management.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record in process improvement, strategic planning, and project management.
Skills and Abilities
Strong strategic and tactical planning skills tailored to meet business objectives in a large healthcare system.
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and qualitative skills for effective decision-making.
