About the Role:
The Senior Accountant at Scopes Facility Services will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will also lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with various departments to align financial goals with operational objectives. Additionally, this role will involve mentoring junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant will contribute to the overall success of the company by ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective financial management. Additionally the role is eligible for remote work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or equivalent professional designation.
- Experience in the landscaping or construction industry.
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting software.
- Experience with AP/AR
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to set financial targets.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
