The Director, Economic Value Reporting & Analysis is responsible for the actuarial elements of the quarterly Group financial reporting.

Job Summary
As the leader for all reserving metrics relevant to SCOR group under IFRS & Solvency II, the position will own technical direction of quarterly reporting for all US Market entities and the Annual Financial Audits. The role will work with various stakeholders ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the proper actuarial data, modelling, controls, and governance is kept with regards to financial reporting.
In addition to the role's technical leadership responsibilities, the position will offer team leadership both through the collaborate working with Finance teams as well as strong people leadership and development for team members.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the timely and accurate delivery for all SCOR US Life actuarial reporting and analysis for IFRS and Solvency II.
- Lead the timely and accurate delivery for cashflow sensitivities and analysis used for SCOR annual internal model calibration.
- Own IFRS & Solvency reporting and analysis of results, both Group and legal entity, with ability to communicate technical results to diverse audiences, including preparing and presenting reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Partner with the CF production, review and analyze the IFRS & Solvency II results from the quarterly and annual production process.
- Serve as the direct liaison with group and business unit functions for Group reporting topics.
- Lead the IFRS & Solvency II portion of the annual financial audits with external auditors.
- Ensure that appropriate and auditable controls, reconciliations, and documentation are maintained with respect to all valuation and projection processes.
- Share in the development of a team of actuaries, with a particular focus on mentoring a strong group of emerging leaders across the department.
- Act as key resource for new developments in reserving issues, methods, and regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives and special assignments as required.
Required experience & competencies
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation (or equivalent).
- Must have 5 years proven actuarial leadership, management experience, and experience with financial valuation, modeling, cash flow analysis in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of economic value reporting and analysis within the industry.
- Experience managing projects and effectively representing department at various meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative team member in an intellectually vibrant and commercially sophisticated environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, maintaining an agile mindset.
- Experience mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong organizational & planning skills with ability to meet multiple competing deliverables and manage projects.
- Ability to build & maintain relationships with a diverse group of colleagues throughout the SCOR Group.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex models and perform valuation, modeling, and analysis to deliver required results.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement departmental processes and controls and ensure appropriately documented.
- Expertise in IFRS, Solvency II (or similar economic value reporting method) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and relationship building.
- Proficient in actuarial software, database, and reporting tools.
Required Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field with demonstrated record of academic excellence.

"Pay Range for roles performed in North Carolina: $162,000 - $192,000 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement saving plan, paid holidays and paid time off."
