Job Description
The Professional Liability Intern will work with underwriters using both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to understand and assess risk profiles and determine appropriate price, terms and conditions of a policy. Other job function expectations include : ensuring appropriate file documentation and compliance; assisting direct manager with various departmental projects as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Focus on professional liability clients in the large corporate sector including Law Firms, Accountants, Construction Professionals, Consultants, and other Miscellanous classes.
- Analyze underwriting submissions for new and renewal accounts. Assess various risk exposures, review policy wordings, determine price adequacy, and produce underwriting reports.
- Assist group in performing tasks designed to gain an understanding of the Professional Liability marketplace
- Work with underwriting staff to analyze and improve broker relationships
- Analyze notable trends and macro factors to help determine optimal portfolio breakdown
- Research and present a final project to the Professional Liability staff

Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Pay Range : $25.30 - 27.60 hourly rate. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees.
