Job Description
Responsibilities include analyzing the technical results for accuracy and identifying any necessary adjustments. This position will provide analytics on major drivers of quarterly results while adhering to strict timelines for the closing milestones, audits and management reporting. This position is required to interact and partner effectively with counterparts in Group Closing, Technical Accounting and Claims.
This candidate should possess the ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently, collaborate well with others, analyze data to effectively explain and report the results to all stakeholders. Strong written and oral communication skills are required to clearly convey findings. The ideal candidate will take ownership of their work, proactively addresses challenges and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time. An understanding of accounting, statutory principles and the insurance / reinsurance industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review quarterly estimates for accuracy including recalculations of premiums, commissions, reinstatements etc.
- Investigate possible anomalies during analysis of the PL for the portfolio and prepare adjusting entries (Assistance Entry "AE") for booking into the reinsurance system, OMEGA, when needed.
- Monitor large loss movements and enter adjusting entries ("AE") for changes in additional case reserves.
- Run the closing BO control reports during closing period and evaluate balance movements for accuracy. Coordinate with Group Closing to book adjustment entries to the reinsurance system

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range : $105,000 - $130,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement saving plan, paid holidays and paid time off."
