The SCORE Association is seeking a Director of Field Resource Support to join our team.
The SCORE field support services team offers resources to Volunteers who give freely of their time, energy and knowledge to help small business clients solve their business problems. The team consistently works to improve the Volunteer Experience through ease of use and access to resources and systems to provide high Client Satisfaction.
The Director of Field Resource Support leads SCORE's field support services, overseeing both virtual and in-person delivery channels to ensure effective resource allocation, event management, and operational excellence across the organization. This role is responsible for directing and coordinating field resource programs, including centralized webinars and field events, to enhance volunteer engagement and service delivery effectiveness. The Director of Field Resource Support develops and implements strategies to optimize field support resources while ensuring alignment with SCORE's organizational goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate possesses proven leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, effective conflict resolution strategies, and a deep commitment to our mission. You should be a strategic thinker, a problem-solver, and a skilled relationship builder.
Salary: $125,000

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for SCORE's field support programs, including webinar operations and field events
- Leads, supervises, and supports a team of field support services staff in the strategic planning and execution of field programs
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enhance field resource utilization and effectiveness
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for field support programs to ensure achievement of organizational goals
- Collaborate with Field Leadership and HQ departments to ensure an integrated approach to resource deployment. Establish effective two-way communication with field leaders at all levels
- Oversee the volunteer retention and recognition
- Create and maintain standardized processes for field resource allocation and program delivery
- Oversee the development and implementation of field support budgets and resource allocation plans
- Direct the planning and execution of major field events, training, education, and virtual programming initiatives – including in-person, remote and asynchronous opportunities
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance volunteer engagement and recognition programs
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for field resources and programs
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between field operations and HQ support functions
- Drive innovation in resource optimization
- Provide regular reports and updates on program effectiveness and strategic initiatives
- Travel as needed to support field operations and attend key events (approximately 25%)
- Other duties as required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, related field or equivalent experience (Master’s degree preferred)
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
- Minimum of 7-8 years in operations management or program direction
- Scope of business tools supported include, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Business tools (Outlook, Excel, Zoom, Teams), GSuite
- Proficiency in strategic planning, program management, and project management, including execution and resource allocation (PMP preferred)
- Proven ability in event planning and execution, and familiarity with virtual programming, delivery platforms and technologies
- Team leadership and development skills, with experience in change management and cross-functional teams
- Budget development, management, and performance metrics/analysis
- Strategic data collection, analysis, and reporting in conjunction with sound decision-making
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
- Knowledge and understanding of SCORE-related products and services
- Experience working with Volunteer-based Organizations
