About the Position The Accounting Manager will oversee both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions within our manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing receivables and payables in a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, efficient vendor payments, and compliance with financial regulations. This role requires leadership skills to manage a team and optimize financial processes in a dynamic production setting. About You * At least 4 years of accounting experience * Experience with JD Edwards, Hubble or Power BI is a plus * Experience with NetSuite is a plus * Bachelor's degree, ideally in business / accounting * Technical capacity (MS Office and Excel) * Experience in outdoor / action sports, or consumer goods is a plus * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Excellent communication skills * A curious and inquisitive mind. We are looking for someone who likes to ask lots of questions! * Exceptional attention to detail * Ideally bi-lingual in English / Spanish Key Responsibilities * Oversee customer invoicing, collections, and credit risk management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Assisting in accounts receivable including taking payments and banking checks, and acting as a liaison between our sales department in California and our accounts receivable department in Mexico. * Monitor AR aging reports, reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and implement collection strategies. * Establish and enforce credit policies, working with sales and finance to manage customer accounts. * Resolve customer billing disputes in collaboration with the sales and production teams. * Ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP and industry regulations. * Supervise the Accounts Payable Specialist, ensuring timely vendor invoice processing and payments. * Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to AR and AP Specialists, ensuring strong performance and process efficiency. * Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting. * Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory standards.
