What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sponsorship Coordinator position at Scoreboard Media?
Your Role
As a Sponsorship Coordinator, you’ll help us build sponsorship revenue at our partner high schools with LED video scoreboards.
Your mission: grow each school’s program quickly through outreach, relationship-building, and closing deals.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and cultivate local sponsorship leads at partner schools.
- Close sponsorship deals with a focus on long-term value and alignment.
- Work closely with school partners and local “connectors” (including paid lead generators) to uncover new sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, schools, and community contacts.
- Conduct scheduled monthly check-in calls with school partners to discuss progress and opportunities.
- Send bi-weekly email updates to school partners with key updates and action items.
- Act as a liaison between sponsors, school staff, and internal teams to keep communication clear and campaigns running smoothly.
- Occasionally make cold calls, but your goal is to build a strong network that turns every call into a warm lead.
- Coordinate with internal operations and creative teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ad delivery for each sponsor.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you know how to build trust and rapport quickly
- A proactive mindset—you’re comfortable reaching out, following up, and closing deals
- Organized and self-motivated—you can manage multiple accounts and deadlines
- Sales experience or relationship management is a plus
- This is an in-person role—you must be able to commute to our Evanston, IL office
