We are seeking a Human Resource Site Support professional to join our HR team at the Spruce Pine location. This role is crucial to ensuring that our employees' needs are effectively met. The ideal candidate will assist with HR operations, employee relations, and support efforts to maintain a positive and productive workplace.
Essential Functions
- Actively participates in large team meetings, presenting relevant HR topics to keep everyone informed.
- Participate in Supervisor and Management meetings.
- Assist HR management with the execution of mid-level HR functions and initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and build trust among employees to encourage open communication.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding and training processes.
- Support employee relations efforts, including conflict resolution and performance management, working with corporate HR.
- Provide information regarding policies and procedures. Assist in the development of local policies and procedures when necessary.
- Develop effective working relationships with employees in order to influence and coach them on effective employment practices.
- Elevate matters to HR personnel or appropriate authority
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports as needed.
- Process and approve payroll changes, review timecards, update attendance records, distribute checks.
- Process workers’ compensation claims on site and verify that investigation and witness statements are prepared.
- Be part of the safety committee and verify that required compliance is performed.
- Provide training support.
- Understand and be familiar with the employee handbook to assist and ensure Scosche employees are complying with the company’s policies.
- Work with Director to assure company complies with local labor and safety laws.
- Assist employees/supervisors with any personnel matter and enforce company policies, obtaining Director’s assistance as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in Human Resources.
- Time Card processing experience to support Corporate Office Payroll.
- Prior experience in a human resources or administrative support role, particularly within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.
- Able to work with limited supervision and high motivation.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Paylocity Payroll System a plus.
- Google Software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be highly organized with capacity for multitasking, working independently, and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Must be able to present in group settings.
