Safety Co-Op
Scot Forge Company is looking to hire 2 Safety Interns, one in each Spring Grove, IL and Clinton, WI locations. This Co-Op is available from June 2025 to December 2025. A Safety Co-Op at Scot Forge will offer a student the opportunity to practice occupational safety theory in a real-world setting.

Anticipated Projects include:
- Administering the safety management system to ensure a safe work environment
- Help to improve safety metrics including the coordination of programs to prevent incidents
- Learn safety practices and principles of a manufacturing environment
- Deliver a formal presentation to leadership on key project accomplishments
- Update policies, procedures and records
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in Bachelor or Master degree program in Occupational Safety or Environmental Engineering, Junior standing or above.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of Safety & Environmental regulations and safety management principle
- Ability to recognize problems/ hazards, analyze them, and offer solutions using proven safety/ incident investigation analysis tools.
Additional Requirements
- Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test.
