SUMMARY
Perform general landscape maintenance tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, mowing and trimming. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Typically reports to the operation manager or supervisor.
Requires basic math skills, excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to work as a team member.
Must be able to perform all general labor functions. Must be alert and ready to react quickly with direct communication to the supervisor. Good housekeeping skills and ability to perform physical requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must obtain the ability to understand and complete duties as assigned.
- Able to pick up 50 pounds.
- Able to run various maintenance equipment i.e. mower, trimmer, aerator.
- Regular, timely attendance.
- Able to take directions from others, safety minded, team oriented, and task oriented.
- Has an understanding about being around moving equipment and machinery.
- Must be able to get to the work site and the shop.
- All aspects of the physical requirements are essential elements of the job function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Communicate with team members to ensure project requirements are met.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, adhering to safety protocols.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must participate in weekly safety meetings.
- Attend additional training as needed or required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean MVR with the ability to be covered under company's vehicle insurance.
- Must have a means of transportation to get to and from job sites.
- Assist with a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance.
- Willingness to work in all kinds of weather and conditions.
